Quick Quiz on Forces and Free Body Diagrams.

Find a full-page picture in a magazine or the newspaper, or draw one yourself, that shows an object interacting with at least 2 other objects. Draw a free body diagram of that object and all of the forces acting on it in the picture. Identify the forces (by name) in your diagram, and describe the interactions in a sentence.

Textbook scavenger hunt.

Read chapter 6, and do review questions #2, 3, 6 and #25 & 27.

Find a photo in a magazine, or draw a picture yourself. Choose one object from the picture or photo, and draw a Free Body Diagram showing all of the forces acting on that one object. Describe the forces and the motion of the object.

Think about how the astronaut we'll see tomorrow and how Newton's First and Third Laws affected his experiences in space. Come up with two (using those laws) to ask him.

Write 5 juicy test questions, with answers, about Newton's First (Inertia) and Third (Action-Reaction) Laws of Motion.
